5th gen sunroof installed...

Followed basic instructions from NTPOG. Finally got around to doing this......a few things I came to realize:

1) If you have a 94-96, the stock rear headliner WILL NOT FIT. I'm ordering a 92-93 rear headliner and 3rd brake light to cover the motor.

2) Instead of bending the inner lip, I cut the front about halfway and cut the rear past the spot welds, then you can split the rear lip and the trim fits WAY better! No need to trim the sides.

3) Set aside a solid day, if you have a cut-off wheel it makes it go by faster, take your time.

4) Looks unbelievably better than the metal one! Highly recommended.

I'll get better pics in the morning.

Nice dude, looks good. They do look SOOO much better, but its not the easiest of projects. I never though of trimming it like you did though, I imagine it would look much better. Good call.

you can put just the glass cap on instead of swapping the entire unit. granted you have the pull shade now which is handy. i have installed 3 5th gen glass cap sunroofs on 4th gen preludes. when just swapping the caps you dont have to worry about the headliner. and it only take about an hour or 2. you just have to modify the mounting holes on the 2 metal brackets that hold the cap on...

your 5th gen conversion looks amazing though. fitment is spot on and i love that you retained the pull shade.
